Three events about the Lund Innovation District

Published
October 25, 2023
Do you want to know more about what an innovation district is and how Lund works with its innovation district? During October and November there are three opportunities to learn more. On 18 October, the steering group, consisting of Kristina Eneroth, Vice Rector at Lund University, Pia Kinhult, ESS, and Anders Almgren, Chairman of Lund Municipal Board, will provide an overview and discuss the topic in an event. During Lund EU Days on 15 November there will be two more occasions. During a session, representatives from several large companies in Lund will delve into how unique collaborations in Lund have driven innovation and growth in the region. Next, a panel discusses how, by being a playground for demos and test beds, the Lund Innovation District provides special opportunities for researchers, entrepreneurs and companies to test and refine their ideas in a real-world setting.

How does Lund work with its innovation district? Lund University and Lund Municipality have commissioned Future by Lund and partners to catalyze the work to co-create Lund as an international innovation district. The work is done, among other things, to enable us in Lund to increase our capacity to solve complex and shared challenges. The work is based on a steering group consisting of Anders Almgren, Chairman of Lund Municipal Board, Pia Kinhult, ESS and Kristina Eneroth, Vice Rector at Lund University.
