Robust infrastructure
In a new world order, society faces new challenges such as security threats and serious climate impacts. New solutions are being lined up so that we can continue to have a functioning society for transport, communication, payment, clean water, etc. This can mean solutions that can counter intrusion, fraud and information manipulation (such as new encryption solutions, secure hardware and functional AI decision support). It may also mean that we are in need of advanced camera technology, radar, tracking technology, access systems to protect critical infrastructure (such as water and roads). The energy system needs solutions that provide secure power transmission and can also make available new storage technologies and solutions with island operation. A secure 6G and IoT communication is a prerequisite for the functioning of our digitized society.NB! Robust Infrastructure is an emerging portfolio.

Vad?
Future by Lund operates an innovation portfolio focused on innovations for civil and military synergies, with a particular focus on creating new solutions and innovations for a more robust and resilient society. Some of the areas we focus on include 6G and secure IoT communications, cybersecurity and AI, and critical infrastructure protection.
Varför?
A functioning infrastructure is a prerequisite for society to function. Communications, payments and energy supplies are all examples of services that infrastructure delivers. Today, infrastructure is exposed to new challenges such as cyber attacks, climate change and military threats. This needs to be addressed in the new solutions developed.
Vem?
The partnership is a collaboration between business, academia and society to create prototypes and develop new solutions that solve the challenges we face.
