XPlot: Creative Business Cup
The Creative Business Cup is a competition for startups from the creative industries of fifty countries. The competition's mission is to provide entrepreneurs with an international platform to further develop their ideas and to eliminate the complexities associated with business development.
The Creative Business Cup is a competition in which entrepreneurs from the cultural and creative industries compete with their business idea and both content and performance are judged by a jury. The Swedish final has for some years been organized by XPlot in collaboration with Lund Kommun and Future by Lund.
In 2020 and 2019, many local entrepreneurs participated in the final of The Creative Business Cup, such as Mylla Food Market, Snow Cloud, Be Here Then and StoryTourist.
“Organizing The Creative Business Cup in Lund is a way to give it a very local meaning and verification — while making local talent visible in an international arena through digital technology,” says Katarina Scott, project developer at Future by Lund.
In 2019, a panel discussion was held on personal sustainabilityhet in connection with the final.
The event was also carried out in 2020, when in a partially digital format due to the pandemic.
