Lundasupport was an initiative that offered business support in the form of free advice for companies and organizations that needed help in the situation caused by COVID-19. It was Lund's innovation and entrepreneurship actors who, together with the municipality of Lund, joined forces to support Lund's business community and organisations. Lundasupport was a ball board where companies could receive advice and coaching and where they could be guided further to authorities, municipalities, trade associations and other actors.

Lund's New Business Centre (LNC) was one of the players that companies could meet through Lundasupport.

“By bringing together so many specialties and competencies, we will be able to help many entrepreneurs feel more secure - and some we may even be able to help find a way out,” said Christer Wallin, CEO of Lund's New Business Centre at the start of Lundasupport. We can be an interlocutor who comes up with new spreads. Many entrepreneurs are quite lonely with their businesses and may need someone to talk to. We at Lund New Entrepreneurship Centre are good at the basics in entrepreneurship and can do that with taxes, employer contributions and accounting. We have the competence to review their security system but can also be the ones who dare to say if the most favorable thing is to close the business.

The companies that called or emailed ended up in a sluice manned by knowledgeable advisers. One of them was Lars Mattiasson from Future by Lund.

“It's a lot about us offering contact with people who can support,” said Lars Mattiasson at the start of the project. Through Lundasupport you can get answers to everything from questions about how you could change your business to how to find new investors and what you can think about if you have to shut down.

When the municipality of Lund took the initiative for Lundasupport, the response from other actors involved in innovation and entrepreneurship was immediate.

“The players in our network immediately returned with a positive response and I am delighted with the climate we have in Lund,” says Per Persson, Lund Municipality. The initiative involves opening up the borders of the business advisers already at the New Entrepreneurship Centre and at the innovation actors and allowing established companies to seek advice from them as well. Through Lundasupport, we can allocate questions to the various business advisors and coordinate solutions for companies facing similar challenges.

The week after Easter 2020, there was a landing page for Lundasupport, and the support remained until 1 October 2021.
